My bigass hulking bloated boat anchor of a CRT monitor died last week. So I jumped at the chance to get a flat panel LCD monitor. Great taste, less filling! I actually have someplace to set my beers now.
My metamorphisis into a total robot collector is almost complete. Spawn is dead to me. I haven't picked up a comic in over a year now. Dragons and music figs are the only things keeping me in anything McFarlane anymore.
Exhibit A: B-Day hauls.
Every once in a while I might make something. It's never something I'm suppose to make, but make it I do.
And finally, I'm back on a new photography kick now...fun with time lapse. This is an idea I've been playing with in my head for sometime. I call it "painting with a laser pointer". This is all done with the camera, no Photoshop. Can you guess who it is? [img]wink.gif[/img]

That laser painting effect is cool. Have you ever done any light painting with a mag lite? I've tried with mixed results. I got an attachment for my mag for doing some detailed light painting effects but really haven't used it yet...
(My first thought when I put this together was an Andyman techno bug. [img]wink.gif[/img] )

I have other lighting experiments that I haven't uploaded yet. I'll tell you what, this is the way to photograph objects such as figures, sculptures and such. I got a perfect picture of my Electroman by using a 15 second shutter speed on my digital camera and tracing it with my white LED mini flashlight. To hell with setting up multiple lights anymore! I'll be playing around with them tonight so I'll post more pics to show you what I'm talking about.
Oh yeah, I do have some more laser art photos. I was still experimenting when I made these two.
Cool! I'm anxious to see the new pics. I used to use a photographer back in Vegas who was a master at light painting. Here's an example of something they shot for me:
I think some of McFarlane's stuff is shot using this technique. It's hard to do but the results are really dramatic.
